As a patient of Dr. Jason Ko, you will have the pleasure of becoming closely acquainted with his nurse practitioner, Caroline Dubord. In fact, Caroline may be the first friendly face you meet at our practice, even before you sit down with Dr. Ko to discuss your case!
Caroline has worked with Dr. Ko for several years and is a crucial part of his team. She has a stellar reputation for treating all patients with the respect, compassion, and patience they deserve. Caroline deeply values the relationships she develops with her patients and enjoys helping to positively influence their lives through her role in Dr. Ko’s practice.
Professional Experience
Caroline has worked as a nurse at Northwestern Memorial Hospital since 2015. Prior to Northwestern, she was a nurse at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, Boston Children’s Hospital, and St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center (also in Boston).
Caroline’s tenure at Northwestern started at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center, where she was a clinical and infusion nurse for the gastrointestinal oncology group. While there, her duties included managing infusions, scans and medications, while triaging patient concerns. The skills Caroline honed while working for the oncology group helped prepare her for future roles.
In 2016, Caroline took her experience and talents to the Northwestern Plastic and Reconstructive Division, where she began managing pre- and post-operative patients as a clinical nurse. Caroline’s responsibilities included providing patient education and medical management.
After earning her Master’s Degree in Nursing in 2018, Caroline’s role expanded in Dr. Ko’s practice. As a nurse practitioner, Caroline takes a more hands-on approach to patient care with her advanced education and training. Nowadays, you can find Caroline helping Dr. Ko care for patients before, during and after surgery. Given Caroline’s vast experience and knowledge, she will be able to diagnose your problem, order further tests and perform steroid injections for specific ailments, in addition to discussing various treatment options, including surgical options.
Caroline is grateful for the opportunity to assist in planning patients’ care and educating them about their options. She is with patients every step of the way and is a valuable resource if they have any questions or concerns. Her goal is to help everyone under Dr. Ko’s and her care feel comfortable and confident with their medical and surgical treatment.

Caroline has always had a passion for helping people, so nursing is a natural fit for her. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Villanova University, where she excelled in her program and was named a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
