Mausam Patel, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with advanced clinical and surgical experience across women’s health, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and acute care settings. She is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting patients through every stage of treatment and recovery.
Mausam earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration from Loyola University Chicago’s Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing. She is nationally certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois. Her academic foundation also includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Loyola University Chicago.
Currently, Mausam practices as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with Northwestern Medicine in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Hand Surgery, where she provides comprehensive care to patients undergoing both reconstructive and orthopedic procedures. Her role includes direct patient care as well as clinical and surgical responsibilities, allowing her to support patients from consultation through postoperative recovery.
Prior to her current role, Mausam worked as an APRN at Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital, where she managed labor and delivery, postpartum, and obstetric emergency department patients, and served as a surgical first assist for cesarean section procedures. She also brings extensive experience as a registered nurse at Northwestern Medicine Prentice Women’s Hospital and Advocate Christ Medical Center, caring for post-operative, critical care, and ICU patients.
Mausam maintains multiple advanced certifications, including ACLS, BLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and is a Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA). Her background reflects a strong commitment to teamwork, efficiency, and high-quality clinical outcomes. She is proficient in multiple electronic medical record systems, experienced in telehealth, and skilled in a wide range of clinical and procedural environments.
In addition to her professional experience, Mausam has participated in international medical service work at Muni Seva Ashram Cancer Hospital in Goraj, India, where she shadowed physicians, observed surgical procedures, and provided care to underserved populations.
Mausam is bilingual, conversational in English and Gujarati, and values clear communication, attention to detail, and building trust with every patient she serves.
